Jubilee Flowers for the Village
On a beautiful sunny May morning some members of our WI took our trowels, gardening gloves and lots of plants down to the village green to plant up the raised flower bed in the jubilee colours of red, white and blue. Alongside the traditional bedding plants of geranium, verbena and lobelia, we have also planted tobacco plants, campanula, cosmos and feverfew to encouange and help bees.
We are looking forward to watching the plants as they settle in, spread and start to flower, hopefully in time for Little Chalfont Village Day on Saturday 16th June.
